A few months ago at at KCO meeting, someone brought up his annoyance at the large number of churches he sees in the area. When are things going to get better when mysticism is so deeply entrenched? The discussion eventually moved to one on how deeply you should let things like that bother you, and I threw out the idea that it’s really a crow issue (look up “crow epistemology” at the great Ayn Rand Lexicon). The fact that your consciousness is limited and you can only think of so much at one time, why can you have the time to obsess about the bad when you’re busy living for the good? I don’t believe in sticking your head in the sand, but sometimes I think the best answer to the old “Can you believe he/she/they said that?” question is “Sorry, too busy!”

Anyway, to my point: I’m very busy right now! Until I signed in today to approve a kind comment to one of my earlier posts, I didn’t know that it had been a full month since my last post. I’ve had the time to keep up on a couple good online discussions and to co-teach an “Introduction to Objectivism” class at the UMKC Communiversity, but my blog has suffered. October is going to be even harder on my schedule, due to a tight deadline at work. I’m not quitting writing by any means; I’ve just got to get through a few things before I can get back to writing more English and less C#.

Someone has to keep those webcasters in line!
